In the Path of Islam Lecture Series: The Concept of Justice in Islam
Aziz Nathoo discusses the complex topic of Justice in Islam. This includes justice to oneself (nafs), family (‘Aila), community (Ummah), humanity (kulfis insaan), earth & animals (duniya) and, most importantly, Allah.

Aziz Nathoo is a Muslim Interfaith and Peace teacher and preacher hailing from East
Africa. He participates in many charitable organizations and institutions that promote peaceful dialogue and religious coexistence. They include: the charitable arm of The Aga Khan Foundation, The Mayors
Philadelphia’s Council of Interfaith Advisors, The United Nations, The Poor Peoples
Campaign, Amnesty International, Montco Multifaith Council, The Dialogue Institute,
Interfaith Philadelphia, Interfaith Peace March, AJC Muslim-Jewish Dialogue, and other interfaith, peace and justice initiatives.
His philosophy is that the major source of discord among faith traditions is due to
clashes of ignorance about each other, and not due to a clash of civilizations. He focuses
on replacing ignorance with wisdom, establishing avenues of respectful and civil
dialogue, and promoting pluralism to combat extremism and discrimination. He also
works with various Refugee relief organizations and the Charter for Compassion.
By Profession he is a businessman. He has a degree in Islamic Studies from the
University of Texas and pursued his MBA at Boston College. Aziz is a Muslim &
Interfaith preacher and professor, teaching at various colleges, civil institutions, and
houses of worship.
